Doyle Hinman and David Smith opened Hinman Vineyards in 1979 by 1988, it had become Oregon’s top selling winery. In 1993, Carolyn Chambers, a Eugene, OR businesswoman, President of Chambers Communication Corporation, and Chairperson of Chambers Construction, acquired the winery. That same year, Hinman released their premium line of reserve wines under the Silvan Ridge label.

Today, Silvan RidgeWinery produces approximately 25,000 cases of premium wines including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Early Muscat, Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot, Viognier, and Riesling. In 1995, Carolyn’s daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Chambers, became general manager Liz brought a strong background in finance and management to the business. Under her leadership the winery has grown to 12 employees, modernized its production facility and visitor center, created an online wine club, instituted a robust winery events calendar, and introduced a PR campaign to promote the Silvan brand nationally.

'Silva' is the maiden name of the owner, Carolyn Chambers, and 'Silvan' is also latin for wooded, which fits the scenery at the location, so Silvan Ridge was chosen as the name back in 1993 The winery is owned by Carolyn and Elizabeth Chambers

In 2005, Jonathan Oberlander was hired to head the winemaking team. Signature wines are Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Early Muscat Semi-Sparkling

Bill and Cathy Stoller purchased the vineyard lands from a cousin in 1993, many considered it marginal farmland. The Stollers were already involved in the wine world as co-owners of Chehalem Winery.

The Parkers choose the location in 1993 as it was a perfect vineyard site, in fact it was an existing vineyard but had been let go for many years and needed a lot of work. They tried to restore the vineyard , but after pruning they decided to start over and torn up the old vineyard and planted it all in 1998. They 7 acres of tightly spaced pinot noir planted on a perfect south facing slope pinot noir. 3 different clones, Dijon 115, Dijon 777 and pommard.

After two years, the preparation work was finally complete and twenty-one acres of the Coast Range vineyard were planted in thirteen different blocks of the Pinot Noir clones. In 2005 they purchased a second vineyard in Ribbon Ridge Ava. Here they build their home and winery

The name VIDON (vee-dohn) comes from "Vicki and Don", owners and founders of VIDON vineyard. They produce only premium Pinot Noirs with between 700 and 800 cases annually with some fruit sold to a neighboring winery.

The vineyard is on a 20 acres site between four and five hundred feet of elevation facing south towards the Red Hills of Dundee on the Chehalem Mountains.  The land was purchased in 1999

Founded in 1993, Westrey represents the collaborative winemaking of Amy Wesselman and David Autrey Their estate vineyard is called Oracle Vineyard, in the Dundee Hills. Original plantings were chardonnay, pinot gris, and pinot noir.


They also added new plantings that together with the first planting should push their total production to around 2,200 cases.

Amy and David also planted a test block of different varieties so that over successive vintages they can monitor how each grape grows at their site, matures, and tastes. What they learn from that experience will help them make more informed decisions as they plan the planting of the remaining 14 acres of their estate vineyard.

The winery is owned by Celeste and Tom Symonette Whistling Dog's Nuestro Sueno Vineyard was planted in the early 1980's. Located on the western slopes of the Eola Hills seven miles west of Salem, it is one of the original vineyards planted in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. The 16-acre Pinot noir vineyard is dry farmed using sustainable farming practices. On gently sloping ground, between 320 to 380 feet of elevation, Nuestro Sueno has the three classic Pinot soils of the Northern Willamette Valley: Willakenzie, Jory, and Nekia. Plantings include own rooted Pommard and Wadenswil clones, as well as Dijon clones on their own roots and grafted onto Chardonnay roots. With a southwesterly exposure, the vineyard receives ample sunshine and is cooled by afternoon ocean breezes blowing through the Van Duzer Corridor.

WillaKenzie Estate is located in Oregon's Willamette Valley on rolling hillsides in the Chehalem Mountains. The winery was named after the WillaKenzie soil on which the vineyards are planted to convey the influence that the soil imparts on the wine's flavors and aromas. The vineyards are planted with grapes of the Pinot family, mostly new Dijon clones of Pinot Noir as well as Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc from Alsace . The winery is owned by Bernard and Ronni Lacroute

Bernard Lacroute started the winery in 1991 purchasing a 420-acre cattle ranch in Yamhill. In 1992, the first vineyards were planted on south facing slopes replacing pasture, blackberries and poison oak. A brand new multi-level gravity flow winery was completed in 1995. Today there are over 100 acres of vines

Founded in 1983 by Oregon native, Jim Bernau, with the dream of creating world-class Pinot Noir Using a small tractor, he cleared away the blackberry vines and remnants of a pioneer plum orchard in 1983 and began planting Pinot Noir. The neighbors were convinced he was serious when he watered the over 1,000 feet vine rows with many sections of garden hose by hand.

Forrest Klaffke is the head winemaker along with Don Crank III  who was promoted to Willamette Valley Vineyards winemaker in late 2006 Efren Loeza is the vineyard manager. They produce Pinot Noir Riesling and Chardonnay.

Willamette Valley Vineyards is publicly owned by shareholders.

The winery and underground cellar are carved into the top of an ancient volcanic flow, the soil red from its oxidized iron content and well-drained. This unique terroir is similar to the red clay soil found in the Grand Cru Pinot Noir vineyards of Romaneé-st-Vivant in Burgundy, where the "soil gives France's most perfumed, satiny, expensive wine

In 2007, Willamette Valley Vineyards became the first winery in the world to use sustainable cork stoppers certified by the Rainforest Alliance to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards

Willamette Valley Vineyard approach is to grow, by hand, the highest quality fruit using careful canopy management, and to achieve wines that are truly expressive of the varietal and the place where they are grown. They ferment and barrel each vineyard lot separately (sometimes as small as two barrels) and can save the best barrels for single vineyard bottlings and Signature Cuvée.

Their production is 125,000-130,000 cases annually. They export wines to all 50 states and 8 countries. The Estate Pinot Noir grapes are certified Organic. All vineyard sites are certified LIVE (Low Input Viticulture Enology) and Salmon Safe.

William Hatcher was the longtime managing director of Domaine Drouhin Oregon. He left in 2001 after 14 years of winemaking and winery management experience. He founded A to Z Wineworks (and later acquired Rex Hill Vineyards) with his wife Deborah and partners Sam Tannahill and Cheryl Francis, as well as handcrafting a tiny production of his own William Hatcher pinot noir.

In 1990, while looking for a special Oregon property to call home, Joan Davenport came upon 13-acres which included a spacious farm house, historic barn built in 1870 with connecting pastures for her Arabian horses and five-acres of grapes.  The vines were planted in 1970 and included Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau and Riesling varietals.  They are the second oldest planting in the area known as the Red Hills of Dundee. 

An additional 3 acres of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, planted in 2007. Winemaker Alberto Alcazar

Winter's Hill Vineyard has been in the family since 1961, when Emily Gladhart's parents, John and Lena Winter, purchased a fruit and grain farm on a corner of Oregon's Dundee Hills. Peter & Emily and their son Russell planted the first 19 acres of grapes in 1990, 12 acres of Pinot Noir and 7 acres of Pinot Gris.

Winemaker Delphine Gladhart applies her French training and experience to produce wines of intensity and elegance.  Winter's Hill produces a wide range of wines including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Late Harvest Pinot Gris, and our sought after Golden Nectar dessert wine.

The winery was established on the farm in McMinnville AVA owned by the family for decades. The winery is owned by Nicolette Nickolaou

Youngberg Hill Vineyards is 22 total acres, 12 acres of Pinot Noir planted in 1989 and 5 acres of Pinot Gris planted in 2007, and 5 acres of Pinot Noir planted in 2008.  The 1989 Pinot Noir is own-root, 60% Pommard clone and 40% Wadenswil, and the Pinot Gris is on 3309 root stock of 146 & 152 clones.  Natasha Block is the larger of the two at an altitude of approximately 650 feet on Willakenzie soil. The Jordan Block is on a steeper slope at an altitude of approximately 750 feet on predominately Steiwer soil.  The Aspen Block is at 600 feet on Steiwer soil. 

Wayne Bailey  is the winemaker philosophy is to grow the best fruit possible and to let that be fully expressed in the wines.   Current product is 1500 cases  with a goal of 3000 cases annually

They have an 8 room Inn on the estate.
