Owen Roe
8400 Champoeg Road NE
St. Paul, Oregon 97137
|
David O'Reilly is Proprietor and winemaker of of Owen Roe Winery The name:
Owen Roe O'Neill was a Seventeenth century Irish Patriot who dedicated his life to upholding the highest principles of political equality and freedom. His commitment to great things makes him an ideal model for us, for we share his dedication to principle in our work to produce our wines
Their Philosophy:
We believe that great wine is fundamentally tied to fabulous fruit. So spending time in the vineyard with careful attention to soil, weather conditions and plant physiology is some of the most important 'winemaking' work we do. This allows us to harvest fruit at it's delicate peak of aromatic development, while maintaining our characteristic balanced pH and high acidity. Once in the winery, only minimal and traditional handling practices are employed to gently coax the most authentic expressions of each varietal
